A phone that drains far faster than it used to, shuts down with charge still showing, or gets hot while charging is the usual sign. We run a free battery check either way — sometimes the real fault is the charging port, and we would rather find that than sell you a battery.
Not always. A worn battery drains fast, but slow charging is just as often the cable, the charger or lint packed into the USB-C port — and since the S21 came without a charger, many are running on an underpowered one. We check all of it free before suggesting a new cell.
